The Inertia

Being an East Coast surfer requires patience of mythic proportions. Weeks turn into months waiting for the West Atlantic to show what she’s made of. But over the last week or so, she delivered. In back-to-back hurricane swells named Gaston and Hermine. Gaston proved to be the opening act, and in New York, well, beyond the inconvenience of NYC surfers being slapped with some fines, most enjoyed an incredibly tubular dance with Hermine. Case in point, the 50 second beauty above. Here’s to hoping this is just the beginning for our East Coast brethren.
