The Inertia

Art entered my life in my late teens. It wasn’t until recently, however, that it became a hit on Instagram. With a bunch of old surfboards lying around, I decided one day to throw one up on an easel and paint a portrait on it. Now, I use some of those old surfboards to help get to my canvas, rather than being the canvases themselves. I paint these murals in various locations around my adopted home of Brooklyn, but I don’t want to say where. I choose places that look abandoned and lifeless. One of the exciting things about painting portraits is being able to bring life and emotion to objects and surfaces that were once without.
