Shane McConkey changed the way we ride snow on two planks. There is absolutely no doubt. He recreated the shape of skis and re-imagined the way we shred powder. He helped invent ski BASE jumping. And he was just a really cool guy. But, unfortunately, in 2009, his lifestyle caught up to him when he was killed in a ski BASE jumping accident in the Italian Dolomites.
His wife Sherry has been equally inspiring in the way she has handled the death of her husband. Here she talks about the inspiring life of Shane McConkey, taking risks, perseverance and living life to the fullest.
