Sam Smoothy, John Collinson and Fraser McDougall went hard in South America last year. Smoothy was following in his father’s footsteps. The Kiwi’s pops had climbed Pequeno Alpamayo, a 17,800-foot peak in Bolivia and Smoothy wanted to ski the same peak. And a few others. Despite rock-hard conditions (hey, at least the avy danger was minimal), the crew charged some really big lines in glaciated terrain. This mini-feature is a really cool tale of travel and adventure. And finding family. A long way from home.
