I was stoked to finally capture these humpback whales from the Dronefly quadcopter and Hero3+ black edition — been trying to do this for months now, and finally got them late in the season. I’m always looking to get a new angle or perspective. From whales to surfing or skateboarding, there is no limit. I was flying on the North Shore of Oahu, Hawaii, and flew from land; never used a boat once. The whales ranged from 300 meters off shore to a mile.
