In preparing for the X-Games, the good folks at ESPN took a stab at nailing down the 50 Most Influential Figures in Action Sports. Who do you think topped that list?
None other than our favorite 11-time World Champion and global surfing ambassador, Kelly Slater.
Quite a few other surfers and surf figures made the list as well: Steph Gilmore at #13, Dane Reynolds at #14, the freshly Hurleyed-out John John Florence at #16, Nick Woodman (the mastermind behind GoPro who helped architect this GoPro X Kelly collaboration clip), filmer Kai Neville at #39, Shane Dorian at #45, and Mike Olson of Lib Technologies.
