Etan Blatt grew up spending his summers in Long Beach, New York where he naturally developed a love of the ocean and water sports. From a young age his zeal to surf the seasonal hurricane swells of the Atlantic Ocean grew, which inevitably led to a lifelong passion. His love of music led him to complete a degree in sound engineering and music production in Boston, after which he moved back to New York where he pursued his two passions; working at Soundtrack Studios in Manhattan, while living in Long Beach and ardently surfing. He started out working in the dub room and occasionally scored some gigs as assistant engineer on tracks from Mobb Deep to Blink 182, his career started leaning more towards television doing "mix to pic" sessions and ADR for shows like "Sex In The City" and "Law & Order". Etan left the recording industry after a couple of years, but not before taking away a wealth of nerd knowledge from his time at one of New York City's top production houses. Since leaving the world of sound, Etan has become a New York City Firefighter, but he has not given up his passion to create. Etan fell in with the Long Beach based crew NYSea and he now nurtures his creativity through filming and editing with some of the East Coast's top action sports athletes.
